Dear OTAP group,
I want to thank those of the group who sent me information about transcribed electronic texts they have in their possession or are in the process of creating. I have compiled 12 responses with a total of approximately 8,000 pages of text.
Added to what I estimate to be nearly 10,000 pages of text offered to the project by Prof. Isen, we have a huge store of texts potentially available to the archive. (If anyone else has texts transcribed on a computer, we would love to hear about them.) We are now working on ways to speed up the conversion of texts to our archive standard and seeking funding for staff to help us.
